Its good to see people logging in to the Hub as they get back into work mode.
In this update I’ve covered off a couple of new things we’ve added, and a few things that are coming up as we start to use the site more.
Digest emails
We’ve just installed a new email digest system which will send you a daily email of new topics in the forums. This means you don’t have to log in just to see if there is a discussion taking place that you’re interested in. I know some of you won’t want an email every day so you have the option of choosing to receive it weekly, or not at all. Have a look at the video Phill has made of how to do this. Or click on the link in the Right Hand menu bar to the Forum Digest Emails page.
Best practice library
We’ve made a few changes to the best practice library since it was originally installed, so it should be easier to upload documents. If you’re having any trouble uploading docs or you’ve got any other questions/comments make sure you leave a comment.
Blogs: Profile your organisation
If you’d like to write a short blog profiling your organisation to other members everyone is welcome to do so. It was raised as an idea to help people get to know each other better, and to encourage discussion. If you’re interested, please contact me so I can set this up for you.
During the pilot we’ll be running a series of topic blogs as well, aimed at sharing knowledge and starting conversation. (See the first one from Lois Easton about summer over-heating). If there is a particular topic you want to write on – or you think we should try to find someone else to write on – please let me know.
Members profile area and profile pic
We’ve experienced a few teething problems with the members / profile area on the site. This is a result of bugs in the software we are using, which we hope will be fixed by an update soon. If you are having problems please read and add to the discussion.
Replies to forum posts
If you want to see if someone has replied to a comment you’ve made in a forum, tick the box on the left hand side when you post the comment. The system will then send you an email when someone replies. (The digest emails will also notify you of activity)
