Ian says “The overall policy on cold homes looks increasingly ad-hoc and lacking coherency – which pretty much sums up the proposed rental standards as well.”  He suggests we need a new agenda for cold homes, which (among other things) focuses on “affordable warmth”

Design a universal bathroom pod

PrefabNZ has just launched a competition to design a universal bathroom pod suitable for the accessible needs of retirement and social housing dwellers.

The hope is that designs can be built and demonstrated to retirement village and social housing developers, and may also be suitable for multi-unit residential developments.
