Thanks Nick for the alert and thanks Eion and Nik for your support.

Would it be a good idea to approach Consumer with a view to either:

–Consumer taking over the hosting of it under the present URL, with appropriate updating;
–or incorporating it into Consumerbuild?

MBIE saying “The focus for smarterhomes is no longer directly policy-driven”, if it has any meaning at all, sounds like obfuscatory weasel-speak for “Sustainability is a dirty word, we don’t support it and we’d like to save some money”!!
The site might not generate a huge amount of traffic but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t contribute significantly to building being done more sustainably.
