    Kia ora.

Please find two links from EECA they want you to know about, so you can share with your clients. The budget offers a NEW insulation programme WARMER KIWI HOMES. This offers EECA grants covering two thirds of the costs of ceiling and underfloor insulation for low income HOUSEHOLDS (not rentals!).

So the advice to your home owners wanting insulation is perhaps to hold off until 1st July when they can get the grant.

I advise you to have a good look – insulation grant includes moisture barriers (yahoo) and will tip to heating in year 2.

Here are the links (sorry you have to copy and paste into your browser, I can’t work out how to hyperlink in this forum!):

Do good advising out there folks.

hi more information, please note that the EECA communication, which I drew on for that last post, doesn’t take into account regional variation, i.e. some regions offer support for insulation installation to home owners NOW, and they maybe more than two thirds. If this is the case in YOUR region you wouldn’t be telling home owners to hold off, you’d be using the best deal you can offer your clients in your area.
Thanks to my Beacon colleague, Glenda, for highlighting this to me!
