    Hi HUB’ers
Has everyone found this great resource on EECA’s website?
    http://www.energywise.govt.nz/heatingrunningcosts
Note the EDA’s alerted us at Home Performance Advisor training that the 2017 consumer infographic had some errors…we’d say use the EECA one this year.

In addition my little bird (well it’s Christian) at EECA tells me: their graph considers variations in both fuel costs and heater efficiencies, whereas Consumer only consider fuel cost variations but use a single representative heater efficiency for each heater type.
Great evidence that unflued gas heaters are NOT a good option….!
Keep fighting the good fight out there on NZ doorsteps

I recently used their hot water heating calculator which I found excellent, if still problematic in some areas. https://www.energywise.govt.nz/tools/water-heating/

    Problems:
Does not seem to cater for regional differences.
Does not seem to consider PV when it’s talking about solar??

It was the Consumer 2016 heating chart that we had the issue with, hopefully the 2017 one (once published) will be back to its useful informative format.
