The Beacon and HPA teams have recently been discussing the variation in advice given to consumers/households about managing mould in homes. We are all concerned that conflicting advice can result in lack of action and some advice being given doesn’t reflect what we consider best practice. So we have reviewed the research again (thanks to Prof Robyn Phipps for some recent documents) and synthesised into the attached advice sheet. It’s mostly designed for householders to read, but has the full reference list for folks like you who like to know where information comes from!
While it reflects EDA and HPA best practice advice, is written in a little more specific and targeted in this document..
