The first 9 star Homestar showhome is being built in Christchurch.

Amongst other features it has a Solar Wall  – the north facing end wall of the two storey house is used as a solar collector to bring pre-warmed fresh air into the energy recovery ventilation system. The UltraClad Aluminium by Ullrich is perfect for this. It has high thermal conductivity and is installed over a 45mm cavity with ducts at the top of the wall sections to collect the warmed air.
