    Kia ora HPA’s,
Please see below an opportunity to access a home monitoring system at a reduced rate. HPA has not assessed Tether and it’s not our remit to endorse any system.  We are simply passing on the information (thanks to Beacon for the heads up).  We all have thermometers/hygrometers in our homes and this is another option in the NZ market.  Might it offer you another level of engagement with your learning about your home which can in turn support the advice you give to clients?  HPA’s focus is on you giving good advice to support households better managing their homes, we don’t advocate collection of data in households in vulnerable circumstances (that $50/year might be better spent on a squeegys for bathrooms and timers for electric heaters in bedrooms than monitoring that records but doesn’t fix the problem!).  If you decide to sign up, it would be interesting to us at HPA how you find the system..comments here or email us.

The offer from Rochelle Ade (chelleade@yahoo.com)
“” I have access to a large number of second hand Tether EnviroQs that were returned at the completion of the Housing New Zealand smart homes pilot. These devices measure air temperature, relative humidity, carbon dioxide, light and TVOCs and are currently just sitting in boxes.   I want to get them out collecting data again.

I can therefore offer these devices to special people for an extremely low cost of $52+GST per device for a year if people are willing to:
    ·           Install a device in each bedroom and each living space (these are super easy to install. The back plate screws (or 3M sticks) to a wall and then the device just slots onto that. To allocate the device to a room you use the Tether management app and just scan a QR code. It literally only takes a few minutes. All data is sent using the low powered WAN and this is what the $52+GST is covering the cost of. So the device itself is actually being provided for free)
    ·           Complete a full healthy home assessment (this is free) using the new Tether Healthy Homes Standard app (this just collects structural information about the house like insulation levels, window sizes etc and gives context to the readings from the data loggers)
    ·           Share their power bills or smart energy meter data for the year
    ·           Allow Tether to utilise the data collected (in an anonymized way)

Everybody will have access to see their own data in real time using the Tether Home app.

If someone is interested in the deal all they would need to do is email Rochelle (chelleade@yahoo.com) with:
    NAME:
    EMAIL:
    SHIPPING ADDRESS:
    NUMBER OF DEVICES NEEDED:
Once Rochelle has this information then she would place an order for this with Tether. The system automatically raises an invoice and once this is paid then the devices will be automatically shipped and installation instructions emailed.
