    Has anybody had a look at the ‘My Energy Coach’ website which Genesis is currently promoting on television?  https://join-us.genesisenergy.co.nz/web/guest/myenergycoach

    It would seem the starting point is to feed in your own electricity consumption data – i.e. you need to be a Genesis customer. But having said its possible for anyone to take a look at the site. My first response is that in the past gentailers have limited their energy efficiency advice to general tips but this looks to go much further.

    I haven’t looked at it in detail Norman. The other one of interest in Mercury Energy’s GEM.

    Thanks Sally, had a quick look, had missed the Meridian one.

    So my questions to myself …. is this a good home energy advice service, it is independent?

    How would I respond to questions from others looking to me for advice and asking  “what do you think of these services, are they any good, is the advice sound, is it neutral, is it a plot to get you to use more electricity, is is worth switching supplier to get access etc, which is best the Genesis or Meridian one? ”

    Presently, without taking the time to explore them in detail, I don’t know the answers to any of the above. Others may have more knowledge.
